![]() Far West Mining Ltd. is an international mineral exploration company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. The Company is primarily engaged in the evaluation, acquisition, and exploration of mineral properties in Chile and Australia. The Company's main project is the wholly owned Santo Domingo copper-iron project in Chile. In May 2008, the Company published the results of an independent scoping study for the project that was conducted by AMEC Americas (Chile). The scoping study indicates positive NPVs in various metal price scenarios. Since the completion of the scoping study, the Company has discovered additional mineralization and conducted metallurgical work to optimize metal recoveries. The Company plans to update the resource report and the scoping study in 2009. Far West Mining is exploring for Broken Hill Type ("BHT") silver-lead-zinc deposits at its 100% owned Georgetown Project in Queensland Australia. During the 2008 drilling campaign, the Company discovered a 100m wide zone of mineralization and alteration in an area with high grade surface samples at the Robin Hood prospect.
