![]() Far West Mining Ltd. is an international mineral exploration company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. The Company is primarily engaged in the evaluation, acquisition, and exploration of mineral properties in Chile and Australia. The Company's main project is the wholly owned Santo Domingo copper-iron project in Chile. In May 2008, the Company published the results of an independent scoping study for the project that was conducted by AMEC Americas (Chile). The Company completed a new resource report and plans to commission a new economic assessment of the Project in 2009. Far West Mining is exploring for Broken Hill Type ("BHT") silver-lead-zinc deposits at its 100% owned Georgetown Project in Queensland Australia. During the 2008 drilling campaign, the Company discovered a 100m wide zone of mineralization and alteration in an area with high grade surface samples at the Robin Hood prospect. Exploration in 2009 will be focused on follow up work at Robin Hood and exploration of multiple regional targets. | ![]() Dec 10, 2009: News Releases: Far West Plans 10,000 Metre Drill Program at the ...
